VICTOR SEVERSON October 12, 1930 - June 28, 2017 Victor passed peacefully at Poseidon Care Centre on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. He was survived by his sons, Larry (Teresa) and Dennis (Sandy), daughter Dorothy (Lawrence), sister Ruth, grandchildren, Jonathan and Diana, as well as extended family. He was predeceased by his first wife Betty (Siemens) and his second wife Helena (Koop), son David, brother Emil and his parents. Victor was a quiet, kind, hardworking man who worked most of his career at Manitoba Hydro. He retired in the early 1990s and stayed active by walking, riding his bike and working part time with cement work. A long term resident of St. Vital, he enjoyed his solitude and the company of neighbours notably Joe and Anne. Later in life he enjoyed his recreation activities at the care home. One of his favourites was the dog visits. The family would like to say "thank you" to the second floor staff at the Poseidon Care Centre for their loving care of our dad. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. A memorial service will take place at Coutu Funeral Home on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11:30 a.m., with viewing at 11:00 a.m. E.J. COUTU & CO.
