HELENE MARIE JEANNE BOULET (nee LAURIN) Peacefully at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg after struggling with heart disease, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helene Marie Jeanne Boulet, wife of the late Jean Marc Boulet (2003). Helene was taken into the arms of our Lord on Monday, July 3, 2017 at the age of 77 years. Remaining to forever cherish Helene's memory are her two sons, Denis and Michael Boulet; grandchildren, Kellie and Marc Boulet; brother Philip Laurin (Pat); sister Diane Seguier; stepsister Denise Novog; stepbrothers, Marcel Guay and Andy Guay; nephew Derek Laurin (Sandi); auntie Francis and auntie Yvette, as well as many more relatives in Winnipeg, also Ontario and Quebec from Dad's side, several in California and many old and new friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Hector and Dora (nee Dusablon) Laurin; stepmother Louise Laurin (nee Guay); uncle Leo Dusablon (Francis); stepbrother Raymond Guay and two amazing brothers-in-law, John Seguier and Raymond Novog. Helene worked many different jobs over the years and enjoyed a huge variety of crafts and hobbies. Christmas and camping were two of her favourite things. She had no problem spending the summer at the campground with her sons, even if she had to do it alone while Dad was at work during the week. Most of all, she was a great mom, always concerned about keeping her family happy, healthy and safe. Mom enjoyed being around people and had recently enjoyed bowling and playing crib. Helene is also a devout Roman Catholic and worshipped in the Parish of St. Paul the Apostle. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, with Rev. Fr. Eric Giddins presiding. Inurnment will follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Our family would like to give special thanks to all who comforted Helene in her final days and also to the wonderful staff at the Grace Hospital for their professional and caring support. In lieu of flowers, if you so desire, donations can be made online to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, or an organization of your choice.
