Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMATTHEW ROBERT SCHOFIELD (MANNY) January 9, 1986 - July 5, 2017 It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Matt, at the age of 31 years. Matt will be forever remembered and loved by his parents, Rob and Chris, brother Jesse, sister Jayme, and the love of his life, Joy. He will also be sadly missed by his grandmother, Lorilee Perrier, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends. Matt was an incredibly talented electrician. Those of us that had the pleasure of knowing Matt will cherish our memories, sharing his stories and his passions for golf, baseball and ice fishing. Matt treasured his family and friends above all others and extended his heart and hand to anyone who asked. His passing will leave a huge void in so many lives. 'Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.' Matt's family would like to thank the medical and nursing staff at St. Boniface and Health Sciences Centre for their care. A celebration of Matt's life will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Transcona Country Club (Manitoba Room), 2070 Dugald Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Springfield Food Bank or the charity of your choice. www.seasonsfunerals.ca

Words cannot describe the disbelief of Matt's passing... My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time... always cherish the amazing memories, keep them deep in your heart... 3 years ago I got the honour to have met Matt in Fort McMurray. He and I have shared a friendship ever since and that I will always be so thankful for. He thought me a lot about life and spent some great time with him, where eventually he got my love for the Giants! I was fortunate to have crossed paths with him the end of April, and I am ever so greatful ❤️... god speed young man, you will be missed so much xo. We had the pleasure of working with Matt at the beginning of his electrical apprenticeship into his 3rd level. Matt was a smart young man with a great attitude, and work ethic (Just like his Dad). We were sad to see him leave to his new adventure in Northern Alberta but wished him luck, we knew he would excel at his trade, and he did. We are very sad to hear of Matt's passing.
