I met Ron in 1992 shortly after he moved to Winnipeg. He joined the Voyageur Hawks fastball team that my dad was coaching at the time. Ron was an excellent player and a very good person. My deepest condolences to his family. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Mark Mazur (Friend) on: Aug 03, 2017

I am saddened to hear of the passing of my friend and fastball teammate. Ron and I shared many late nights in the 1980s and 1990s talking baseball and sports trivia with the team. He was always a lot of fun and a good player too. Although our contact dwindled when Ron moved to Winnipeg to be close to his daughter whom he spoke so proudly of, the memories we shared will last forever. RIP Ron. You will be missed and remembered as a good friend. - Posted by: Rich Vetter (Friend and team mate) on: Aug 01, 2017

I send my Condolences to Bill and the Family on the Sudden Passing of Ron, whose life was cut short at the young age 58. I was truly sad to hear that, and I will miss him, I always enjoyed his comments he would post from time to time on my Facebook page.. I remember when I first met our Cousin Ron, it was when My sister Vicki and I came back to Vancouver after growing up in Ontario in the early 80s and he was such a fun dude, always joking around and it was a pleasure seeing him when we were young. My Love to Bill and The Family... - Posted by: Christine (Nordquist) Trainor (Cousin) on: Jul 21, 2017

Condolences to all of Ron's family and many friends. Ron was a great friend to myself and many others in Vancouver. He lived across the street from me and we went to school together for 13 years, I miss him and will never forget his sense of humour and big heart. Our condolences go out to the family. We are truely sorry for the loss of Robert. The tragic accident happened right in front of me while I was driving to work that morning. I was first on the seen and last to leave. Just wanna let you know that I remember you ALL in my prayers. It reminds me every day when I drive by the intersection. He didn't deserve to die so early. - Posted by: Dan Peters (Married ) on: Jul 19, 2017

I am very sorry to hear of Ron's passing, I attended elementary school with him and although I was in a higher grade (1 year) I did chum with him from time to time as he was good friends with my boyfriend's brother ( Brian Harker) I always found Ron to be a nice guy to be around, friendly and humorous. RIP Ron - Posted by: Kim Sword nee Fraser (friend) on: Jul 18, 2017
