DAVID EDMONDS We are sad to announce that on July 14, 2017 our loving husband, father and grandfather, David, passed away at the age of 65, with his wife by his side, after a short battle with cancer. David is survived by his wife Gerty, of 39 years, sons Jason and Mark (Mandy), daughter Stephanie (Keith), and grandchildren Sawyer, Jordan, Paisley, Jacob and Walker. He is also survived by his brother Howie (Dianne). David enjoyed his careers as a truck driver and diesel mechanic which often came in handy at home as he liked to tinker and fix cars and farm equipment. He also enjoyed the outdoors and camping trips with his family; but David's real passion was fishing. He would always look forward to his time on the water. From his early years fishing with his dad and brother, to taking his sons when they were young; then more recently, weekend camping and fishing trips with his sons at Gem Lake and his fishing buddy at Flintstone Lake. Every time he would land a fish in the boat, no matter the size, it would make him smile. As David wished he was cremated and a funeral service will be held at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 5819 Henderson Hwy., Narol, MB, on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. seasonsfunerals.ca

I worked with Dave for a number of years at Wes-T-rans and he was always willing to offer help or advice, he taught me so much and helped me along the way. He was a great guy, one that I was proud to call a friend. Douglas and I offer our sincere condolences to the whole family. I wish that I could be there on Thursday, but I am in Halifax, know that you are all held in my thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Patrick Woodbeck (Co-worker at Wes-T-rans) on: Jul 18, 2017
