GILBERT KAMINSKY July 21, 1940 - July 19, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gilbert Frank Kaminsky. He passed peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 with family at his side. Gilbert is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Patrica Kaminsky, and daughters, Heather (Jon) Simpson and Lynn (Kevin) Jupp. Gilbert loved and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Amanda, Chad, Trent, Ryan, Ashley, Jeremey and Megan Lynn. Gilbert was raised in Brunkild, Manitoba and worked at Fort Ignition in Winnipeg for 33 years. He was an incredibly generous man who loved kids and gave his free time to The Optimists Clubs of which he became a Life Member in Optimists International. In addition, he was a huge sports fan and loved to cheer for the underdogs. Gilby has touched many lives due to his generosity and kindness and will be sorely missed by all. As per his wishes, there will be a small private service for immediate family. For those friends and family wishing to join in a Celebration of Life there will be a luncheon at the Brunkild Memorial Recreation Centre at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2017. The family would like to thank the many caregivers and staff at the Victoria General Hospital who made his stay there more comfortable. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. LECLAIRE BROTHERS 475 Provencher Blvd., in care of arrangements, 204-775-2220

Dear Pat and family, I am sad to read of Gilbert's death. I remember Gilbert from visits with my grandparents to his family, then the years at Ile des Chenes, worshipping at Epiphany and attending many family events. I hold you all in my prayers and trust Gilbert to the care of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Kolleen and Owen - Posted by: Kolleen (Cousin) on: Jul 23, 2017

Dear Pat, I am sorry for your loss and I know the sadness you are feeling today. My memory of Gilbert goes back to Osoyoos when we joined Bev & Daryl in 2015. In my mind, he will be remembered as a happy 'baby faced' teddy bear of a man. Treasure the good times and I wish you well.
