Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIWAN (JOHN) SYWAK 1925 - 2017 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Iwan Sywak. He passed away peacefully on July 16, 2017 with his family by his side. Iwan was born on July 3, 1925 in Ternopil, Ukraine. He spent some time in Germany during the Second World War before emigrating to Winnipeg, Canada where he met his future wife Stephania (Stella) Kowal. Iwan and Stephania raised two children through difficult times. Iwan was a passionate patriot who supported and promoted the culture and heritage of his beloved Ukraine. Left to cherish his memory are Orysia (Andrew), Bohdan (Susan), grandchildren, Andrea (Jade), Taryn, Daria and Ashley as well as great grandchildren: Zenin, Ryder and Willa. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to Lubov SSMI Foundation, 1085 Main St., Winnipeg, MB, R2W 3S1. A private service was held on July 20, 2017. WE LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS YOU.
