LUCILLE (LUCY) MALO (nee MARCHAND) It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Lucille Malo on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Riverview Health Centre, at age 58. Lucy was born September 21, 1958 and spent her childhood in Haywood, MB. She was predeceased by her parents, Josie (1970) and Arthur (1983). Left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Yves; stepson, Sean (Randi); brothers, Charles (Lea), Lucien (Christine) and Romeo (Sue); sisters, Gisele (Jules), Paulette (Maurice) and Yvette (Dave), as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Lucy was a dedicated worker, spending 30 years with the Province of Manitoba. She was an avid bowler, playing in a league at Dakota Lanes, where she bowled many perfect games. Lucy also loved camping at Pioneer Bay Campground with her "Pinawa family". She also enjoyed travelling all over the world, including London, Cuba, Mexico, and Hawaii, just to name a few adventures. Lucy was a kind and humble soul. Her faith carried her through this very difficult time in her life, she never lost hope, facing many challenges. Lucy received heartfelt support from many friends, especially Anne and Mary. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ogaranko and staff at Victoria Hospital CancerCare and Riverview Health Centre for the excellent care and compassion given to Lucy. In keeping with Lucy's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation in memory of Lucy may be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. E.J. COUTU & CO. • Lucy has to be one of the most giving and tender people. She was quiet but had a zest for life. She was very empathetic and a great listener. Yves, you were very lucky to have Lucy in your life. May the memories you made together remain in your heart and mind forever. Lucy is comfortable now, she is visiting her friends and family on the other side. Stay strong Yves, and let's all remember Lucy in her times of good health. - Posted by: Mike and Danielle Aessie (Friends and extended family) on: Aug 04, 2017

  • My deepest sympathies to the Marchand family on the passing of your little sister Lucille. I remember her as a sweet little girl, litle bit shy but always with a smile. Rest in peace Lucille - Posted by: Gisele Dheilly (Childhood friend) on: Aug 04, 2017
