ROBERT (BOB) ST-HILAIRE With heavy hearts, we let Bob go to his eternal rest on August 7, 2017... after a long, hard battle with various cancers he was very tired. Bob was born February 27, 1953. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 37 years, Doris; his children, Roxanne (James), Jérémie (Brittanie), Stéphane and Justin (Taylore); his mother, Laurette St-Hilaire; brothers, Gilbert (Debbie), Ray (Linda), Léon (Carolyn), Lionel (Gudrun) and Noël (Christine); and sister Claudette. Also, many brothers and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. Bob worked hard all his life. From the family farm growing up in St-Jean-Baptiste to a few sewing factories, to Canada Packers, to Safeway. He worked many years for Motor Coach Industries and then finally New Flyer Industry. Bob retired in 2016 and sadly did not get to go fishing as many times as he wanted. He suffered from a social anxiety disorder which made him come across as shy and quiet. That is, until he got to know you. He had a great sense of humour. A big thank you to all those who helped care for Bob in his final months. Along with the staff at St. Boniface Hospital, with special mention to the staff on 5E. Funeral will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Church at 85 Kirkbridge Drive. Interment to follow at a later date. We love you and will miss you greatly! Rest we'll till we meet again. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or Anxiety Disorders of MB (ADAM) at 100-4 Fort St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1C4.
