RADHA RAMNANAN MAHARAJ SINGH Radha Ramnanan Maharaj Singh passed peacefully on August 15, 2017. Radha was born March 24, 1943 in San Fernando, Trinidad, West Indies, the second youngest child of the late Gunpat and Sumintra Ramnanan Maharaj. She was a teacher in Trinidad before moving to the UK to become a nurse. After which she moved to Canada and dedicated her life to helping others for over 30 years at St. Boniface Hospital, as a neonatal nurse. During that time she played a role in the birth of over 30,000 babies. Radha was a loving mother dedicated to her children, Vishnu (Nadia), Daveanand (Avra), Aditi (Chris) and her beloved dog Taffy. Besides her children she leaves behind her siblings, Camal (Mahadeo), Karma, Dr. Gunness (Alice), and Seeta. She will be dearly missed by good friends and extended family including cousins, nieces and nephews from across Canada, USA, Trinidad and the UK. Radha is predeceased by her eldest brother Dr. Bharat Maharaj and his late wife Georgette. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. The family would like to thank Victoria Hospital staff for their compassionate care during her time there. We also thank Pundit Balram and Lalita Monguru.
