EMMA VENDRAMELLI (nee DAL MAS) April 21, 1931 - August 18, 2017 After a long struggle with cancer, with her family by her side, Mom left us peacefully to join the love of her life, Pierluigi on August 18, 2017. She will be missed and remembered by her Children and families: Tomasina (Giovanni), Loris (Donna), Mike (Anna), Mara (Tim); and Grandchildren: Claudia (Eric), Mario (Maggie), Jeff (Stephanie), Richard (Stepanka), Robert (Vanessa), Mark (Chantelle), Alessandro (Ashley), Stefania (Kyle), Sara (Steven), Adriana, Nicoletta (Alex) and Adam. Emma will also miss her Great-Grandchildren: Noah, Mattea, Nicholas, Owen, Luca, Ella, Avery and Samuel. Also mourning her loss are her niece Ana Maria (Carlo), nephew Danny and their families in Winnipeg; many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews in Italy, Canada and the United States. Emma was predeceased by the love of her life Pierluigi; her parents Pasquale and Caterina; grandson Nicholas; sisters Piera, Nina (Giovanni), Carolina and Ida (Luigi); brothers: Domenico and Bruno, and in-laws Tina and Marcello Padoan. She was born in Carpesica, Vittorio Veneto, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1956, settling in Virden, Manitoba. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1958 and remained there till her passing. She took great pride in her profession as a seamstress working at Bridal Shops in Winnipeg. She loved going camping, time spent at Fogolar in Anola. Mom had many passions, cooking of her regional Italian cuisine and sharing it with family and friends, bowling, knitting / crocheting and loved foraging for mushrooms. She loved flowers and would often be found in her garden. She enjoyed the casinos, especially the time spent there with her "Golden Girls". However most of all she loved spending quality time with her Children, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on August 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. with Rev. Father Sam Argenziano celebrant, Viewing at 10:30 a.m. Entombment in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Ave. The family wants to thank the WFPS for their prompt response and assistance as well as the staff at Grace Hospital Emergency for their compassion and help. We also want to especially thank Dr. Nason and Pam at CancerCare Manitoba as well as Dr. Roche at Assiniboine Clinic for their exceptional care. Flowers graciously declined, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba in her name.
