BENOIT ALEXANDRE COMEAULT December 24, 1923 September 1, 2017 Benoit (Ben) Comeault, aged 93, of Dominion City, passed away peacefully at the Emerson Care Home, on September 1, 2017. Ben is survived by his wife of 68 years, Gisele; his daughters, Paulette Comeault (Rod), Jeanne Hooper (Doug), Carole Gushuliak (Barry), Denise Pohl (Rick); his son Rene Comeault (Kathy), 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Louise Boutet (Mel), his son Marc Comeault and his 10 siblings. Ben was a Christmas Eve baby, born in 1923, to parents Edmond and Rose Alma (nee Lemoine). He left school at an early age to work in the mines. He was then called to serve his country for three years in the Second World War, where he lost his beloved brother Jules. Upon his return, he became his own boss with a short stint as a grain buyer and a 36 year career as a bulk dealer for McColl Frontenac, which later became Texaco. Ben was a huge sports enthusiast known for his intense competitive nature as a hockey and baseball player. He was extremely proud of all his families accomplishments and was the number one fan of the "Bengees" ball team. A funeral was held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Inurnment took place in the Letellier Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Emerson Care Home, Morris Hospital and Morris Funeral Home for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the DC Rec. Inc. (DC Arena).
