Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYVETTE FRIESEN (nee JOHNSON) Yvette Friesen, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2017 at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre, at the age of 85. Yvette was predeceased by her parents, Stéphane and Clémentine Johnson, first husband, André Desrochers, in 1960 and her second husband, Alvin Friesen, in 2009, as well as all of her brothers and sisters. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Paulette (Wayne) McIntyre and Carol (Denis) Turenne; her grandchildren, Natalie, Denise and Rachelle Turenne; her great- grandchildren, Alex and Mason Hildebrand, and Mariah Turenne. Yvette was a wonderful mother. She always put her girls first and made sure we were happy and had everything we needed. She taught us how to be strong independent women, and to depend on ourselves first. She was a strong, loving, caring and kind woman who put the needs of others ahead of her own. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren had a very special part of her heart. We will always carry your memory in our hearts Mom (Mimi), with your joyful laugh, caring personality and love for your family. My sincere condolences to Carol, Denis and their family. Your Mom, mimi, loved you unconditionally. May you find comfort in the memories that you shared. Bon courage. I had the good fortune of getting to know Yvette. A wonderful woman who was always glad to see me. We shared stories and laughed at a good many of them. Yvette had a great talent of making me feel special. Even when she was in pain she managed a big smile and a word of encouragement. Merci Yvette, you taught me so much in the short time that I knew you. I miss you. Until we meet again...Adieu mon amie. - Posted by: Jeanne Boily (Amie) on: Sep 19, 2017
