NORMAN HENRI CHOQUETTE 1946 - 2017 With much courage Norman lost his battle with cancer on September 24, at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 71. He leaves to mourn his wife Francine, his sister Elaine André, brothers Guy and Alain (Rosie), brothers-in-law Rhéal, Robert and Edward, sisters-in-law Arlette, Rejeanne and Odile, as well as nieces and nephews. Norman worked at the Thompson nickel mines for five years and the St. Boniface College for 32 years. Norman loved to fix things and was very good at it. He couldn't leave the house without his precious hat even as a young boy. Never more than a thought away, loved and remembered everyday. In keeping with Norman's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Norman may be made to a charity of one's choice. E.J. COUTU & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald Street 204-253-5086 ejcoutu.com

Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • It is with deep sorrow that I learn of the passing of my cousin Norm . My deepest sympathy to the families and loved one I remember spending time with Norm at my Uncle Henri’s Place (Norm’s Dad). They are fond memories that I will treasure forever. Rest In Peace. I’ve been trying to locate his siblings, Elaine, Guy and Alain. I hope one day we can reunite. God Bless you all - Posted by: Evelinebridges (né Choquette) (Cousin) on: Mar 04, 2021

  • Farewell Uncle Norman. Your kind eyes and smile, your easy laugh, and your stories are missed. I remember the way you cared after Grandma and Grandpa as they aged. You were always kind to me and so positive in life. I always loved hearing you talk about Dad... your dad. It always made me remember that you were a good son to them, and uncle to me. I will miss you. - Posted by: Steven Choquette (Nephew) on: Sep 29, 2017
