Yvonne leaves behind her loving husband of 15 years Theodore (Ted) Riese; her children Denise (Don), Brian (Paula), David (Cheryle) and Barry (Evelyn); stepchildren Marie (Dave), Joseph (Sandy), Christiane (Wesley), Patric (Joanne), Patricia (Philip) and Micheline (Chris); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as her siblings, Germaine, Gerard (Eva), Yvon (Linda), Anita (Johnny), Annette, Rose-Anne (Norman), and many nieces and nephews. Yvonne was predeceased by her parents Gerard and Yvonne; brothers Paul and Louis (Adele); sisters, Cecile (Jules), Pauline (Marcel), Louise; two brothers in infancy; and her husband Hector Bruneau (divorced). She married Hector in 1957 and they had four children together; they divorced in 1992. Yvonne loved her family dearly. She also loved to dance, travel, and enjoyed photography. She could almost always be found with camera in hand taking pictures of anything that intrigued her, but most of all; Yvonne loved photographing family and friends, and took exceptional pleasure in catching and photographing sunsets. Yvonne met Ted in 1995 and they were married in 2002. Together they spent many happy winters travelling to Yuma, Arizona where they made many friends, hiked, golfed, and simply enjoyed life. She will be remembered as a strong, kind woman whose optimism and caring nature will always be cherished. Cancer could not extinguish her remarkable grace and courage during her illness. We all love you, and know we now have a very special angel watching over us. A celebration of Yvonne's life will take place on Friday, October 6, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at the Niakwa Country Club, 620 Niakwa Road, Winnipeg, MB. Cremation has taken place with a private family interment to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, 205 Horton St. East, Suite 203, London, Ontario, N6B 1K7.
