OLIVE LITKOWICH (SHOTT)
Born: Sep 06, 1927
Date of Passing: Sep 30, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLIVE LITKOWICH (nee SHOTT) September 6, 1927 - September 30, 2017 Shortly after her 90th birthday our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully, after a very brief stay in Concordia Hospital. Olive leaves to mourn, her son, Ken (Eleanor), grandchildren, Phillip (Christy), Phoebe (Mark), and great-grandchildren Cayman and Bella. She was predeceased by Victor, her husband of 37 years, and was also the last surviving member of her 11 siblings. She will be remembered by many as always willing to lend a helping hand, most often accompanied with a homemade delicacy, of which she had quite a repertoire. Every item that left her kitchen was sprinkled with love. The past year, Kildonan Personal Care Home was home for Olive. Although it was an adjustment, she settled in quite easily, largely due to the wonderful care she received by the very attentive staff. We, the family, will always be thankful for their kindness and respectful manner. A celebration of her life will be held at the Qualico Family Centre in Assiniboine Park from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 7, 2017. A private family interment will be held prior to the celebration. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Olive's memory to the Lung Association of Manitoba, 1 Wesley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6. LECLAIRE BROTHERS 475 Provencher Blvd., in care of arrangements, 204-775-2220

Aunty Ollie always greeted you with a smile and wanted to know how you were doing. When Uncle Albert and I would go for breakfast at Uncle Jack's Food Bar, Aunty Ollie always made a feast that seemed like more family was coming. As well she gave a little something for later knowing we'd be working hard. Nothing changed as Aunty Ollie aged, I couldn’t believe she was my Baba's little sister. Always smiling and remembered who you were and what you did and we're doing. My condolences to Aunty Ollie's family we will truly miss her.
