IRENE FRASER (nee LARENCE) Peacefully on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the Grace Hospital, Irene Fraser, aged 89 years of Belair, MB, passed away. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Linda McDiarmid; grandson Kelly (Tammy); great-grandson Jordan (Blayse); great-granddaughter Kaitlin (Mike), and great-great-granddaughters Lily and Sephira, as well as four sisters. She was predeceased by her husband Dave, parents Harry and Sadie Larence, in-laws Bruce and Nora Fraser, four brothers, Harold, Jim, Eugene and Bob, as well as other family members. Irene was born and raised in Fisher Branch and she moved to Winnipeg at a young age. She worked at Victoria Hospital where she met her husband Dave. Later she worked in printing at Hignells, Public Press, University of Winnipeg and Moores Business Forms until retirement Upon retirement they sold their home in Winnipeg and moved to Belair, MB, where she lived until this last year. Irene loved her yard, gardening and flowers. In the winter, she kept busy quilting and needlepoint and they spent many hours at the community club socializing with friends. Irene lived for her family, they were her pride and joy, she could never do enough for them. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6 or charity of your choice.
