(EMILY) SHELLEY HOYDALO (nee OBIREK) Peacefully on October 7, 2017, Shelley Hoydalo (nee Obirek) passed away at her home in East Selkirk. Shelley is lovingly remembered by her husband Bill of 63 years; daughters, Linda (Dennis), Lori, Lyana (Dale) and grandchildren, Steel (Jen), Stevin, Leah (Nic), Damien (Emma) and Haley. Shelley was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and the family moved several times before settling in East Selkirk, Manitoba as a teenager. Shelley and her husband Bill spent 63 years building a life together in East Selkirk with their children and grandchildren. There wasn't a visit with mom/grandma that didn't include a homemade meal. She was an avid reader that required an endless book supply and she loved gardening and her flower gardens. Shelley was a strong woman in every sense of the word and her absence will leave an unmistakeable void in our hearts. A limb has fallen from the family tree, I keep hearing a voice that says grieve not for me, remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was strong.
