AIME FRANCOIS CAMPAGNE Né le 29 juillet 1945 - décédé le 7 octobre 2017 C'est avec profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès d'Aimé Campagne, le 7 octobre 2017, à l'Hôpital de St-Boniface à Winnipeg, MB. Il est décédé paisiblement à l'âge de 72 ans. Il rejoint au ciel son fils Henri et ses parents Henri Campagne et Marie Jeanne Mathieu. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Louise (née Arpin); ses deux filles, Lise Mitchell (William), Andrée Thomas (Wilfort) et leur mère Emilienne, ainsi que son fils adopté Paul; ses deux petits-enfants, Philippe (Ashley) et Janelle; ses beaux-enfants: Lisa Samuelson (Todd), Laurie Stubel (Daryl), Richard Lennon (Katie), Wayne Lennon (Barb), Michael Lennon, Marcel Lennon (Cathy); ses beaux petits-enfants, Nicholas et Madellyn Samuelson, Eli et Ethan Stubel, Joy Lennon et Ayla et Willow Lewis-Lennon; ses quatre soeurs, Colette Balcaen (Maurice), Flore Lemieux, Danielle, Rosemarie (Mimi) Iafolla (Bill) et ses deux frères, Gérard et Jean-Pierre. Aimé est né le 29 juillet à Willow Bunch, SK. Il a grandi à Ste-Anne-des-Chênes et St-Boniface. Après ses études au Collège de St-Boniface, au Collège Mathieu de Gravelbourg et à l'Université du Manitoba, Aimé a enseigné pendant 32 ans à St-Labre, Ste-Anne-des-Chênes, l'école Taché, le Collège de St-Boniface et le Collège Louis Riel. Il aimait beaucoup enseigner la chimie et il avait été chef du département des sciences et des mathématiques pendant plusieurs années. Il était très doué en technologie et après sa retraite de l'enseignement en 2000, il avait mis plusieurs cours de Mathé et de Physique en ligne pour le BEF. Pendant quelques années, il s'était aussi occupé des sites web des ÉMR et de la FAFM. Il avait aussi travaillé deux ans à la Boutique du livre. Aimé était un aventurier qui aimait être dans la nature, voyager, faire de la voile et s'amuser avec sa famille et ses amis. Il était un père et grand-père très dévoué. Sa famille était très précieuse pour lui. Il avait aussi une très grande foi en Jésus Christ. Un très grand merci au personnel de l'Hôpital de St-Boniface pour les très bons soins qu'il a reçu et à tous ses amis qui l'ont supporté durant sa maladie. Les funérailles auront lieu le 16 octobre 2017, à l'Eglise St-Eugène, 1007, chemin St. Mary's, Winnipeg MB, à 10h00 commençant avec un diaporama et l'éloge funèbre suivi par la Messe à 10h30. Au lieu de fleurs, un don envers la Fondation du Cancer du Manitoba serait grandement apprécié. He was predeceased by his son Henri, and his parents, Marie Jeanne Mathieu and Henri Campagne. He will forever be remembered by his wife Louise (née Arpin); his daughters, Lise Mitchell (William), Andrée Thomas (Wilfort) and their mother Emilienne, and his adopted son Paul; his grandchildren, Philippe (Ashley) and Janelle; his stepchildren, Lisa Samuelson (Todd), Laurie Stubel (Daryl), Richard Lennon (Katie), Wayne Lennon (Barb), Michael Lennon and Marcel Lennon (Cathy); his stepgrandchildren, Nicholas and Madellyn Samuelson, Eli and Ethan Stubel, Joy Lennon, Ayla and Willow Lewis-Lennon; his four sisters, Colette Balcaen (Maurice), Flore Lemieux, Danielle, Rosemarie (Mimi) Iafolla (Bill), and his two brothers, Gérard and Jean-Pierre. Aimé was born July 29, 1945, in Willow Bunch, SK. He grew up in Ste-Anne-des-Chênes and St-Boniface. After completing his studies at Collège de St-Boniface, Collège Mathieu de Gravelbourg and the University of Manitoba, Aimé taught for 32 years in St-Labre, Ecole Taché, Collège de St-Boniface and Collège Louis Riel. He really enjoyed teaching chemistry and was the head of the Math and Science Department for many years. He excelled in technology and after his retirement in 2000, he worked for the BEF to put Math and Physics classes online. For several years he was responsible for the EMR and FAFM websites. He also worked two years at La Boutique du livre. Aimé loved adventure and really enjoyed being in nature, travelling, sailing, and have fun with his family and friends. He was a devoted father and grandfather. His family was very special to him and he had a lot of faith in Jesus Christ. We deeply thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their caring services. The support he received from his friends while he was ill was very much appreciated. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 16, 2017 at the St. Eugène Church, 1007 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg, MB. The video and eulogy will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the Mass following at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9, would be greatly appreciated.
