RUSSELL JAMES PEARCE
Born: Jul 16, 1947
Date of Passing: Oct 15, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUSSELL JAMES PEARCE July 16, 1947 - October 15, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. Russell passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his wife at his side. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years, Irene; children, Rhett (Tara) and Carla (Ben); grandchildren, Leah and Nathan; sister Sherry (Norman); brothers-in-law, Edward, Joe (Evelyn) and Michael, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Russell grew up on a farm just outside Morden, Manitoba, where he learned the importance of having a good work ethic. As an adult, he became a Chartered Professional Accountant and was a partner with the firm Meyers Norris & Penny in Winnipeg for many years. In recent years since his retirement, he enjoyed travelling with his wife to many locations throughout the world. He was a wonderful, kind and loving man with a very generous nature who always made time to lend a hand to others when needed. The things that brought him the most joy in life were simple: spending time with his friends and his family and helping out with his children and grandchildren. Russell's passing has left a huge void in our hearts and we will miss him dearly for the rest of our lives. He will always be remembered for his tremendous generosity, hardworking nature and commitment to his family. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Road in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Russell may be made to Siloam Mission, the St. Bernadette Building Fund or to a charity of your choice.
