Dear Mona, Simon, Vanessa, Jacinta, Rory and Fiona, we were so sorry to hear about the passing of John. Such an example of courage, grace, and a strong man, filled with an unshakeable faith. An amazing husband and fantastic father. I will always remember John’s generosity and kindness, and absolutely appreciated the time over the summer and the fond memories around the dinner table and pool at your beautiful home. I remember how welcomed Mom and Dad and me were made to feel, as was anyone who was blessed to be with you and your family. Thinking of you all at this very difficult time. May God comfort you and bless you. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Lots of love, Garrett & Sylvia, Philip, Victoria and Liam XOXO - Posted by: Garrett McGrath (Cousin) on: Oct 27, 2017

To Mona,Simon, Vanessa, Jacinta, Rory and Fiona, Heartfelt condolences to you all over the sad and premature passing of your loving husband and Dad John. Here in Galway, Gill and I and our 4 children, Fionn, Ruby, Luka and Jude are all saddened by your loss. We were lucky to get to spend an afternoon with John and Mona watching Galway and Kilkenny play the all Ireland hurling final in Athlone a couple of years ago. Our team Galway lost, and poor Luka was upset and John took a little time out and offered him some kind words to soften the blow. That was a very kind, simple gesture and spoke volumes in a lot of ways. Thanks for the memories and rest softly and in peace. Morgan McGrath - Posted by: Morgan McGrath (Cousin) on: Oct 26, 2017

Dear Mona and family: We are so very sorry and sad to hear of John's passing. We have many wonderful memories of our times with you when we all lived in Indiana. He was a great person and classmate and I enjoyed being his personal translator for 2 years because the local Indiana people could not understand 'Irish English'. Even though we lived in different cities, whenever we got together, it was like we had never been apart. He was a good man and loyal friend. We will always cherish our memories of him. With our sincere condolences. Michael and Carol - Posted by: Michael Ringel () on: Oct 25, 2017

To Mona, Simon, Vanessa, Jacinta, Rory and Fiona, Your sad news was passed on from my parents via Norma. Needless to say we were all very upset to hear it. Mom and Dad will no doubt send a mass card in the post. You're in their thoughts and in mine on this side of the water. All my sympathy, Fergal - Posted by: Fergal McGrath (Cousin) on: Oct 25, 2017

To the Mulhern family, my dearest sympathy. I knew John very well as I worked for Matthew Buckley for several years and they were very good friends. I had the privilege of knowing John and knowing how kind and caring of a person he was as well as a great endodontist. He had a great faith and I hope this helped him during his battle with ALS, which I am all to familiar with as I lost a cousin to this devastating disease. Although no words can really ease the loss you bear, know that you and your family are in my and many others, prayers. - Posted by: Louise () on: Oct 24, 2017
