Gail will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Paul, daughter Paula (Mike), her protector Hunter, brother Gary (Olga) Komoski, as well as extended family and many close friends. She was predeceased by her parents, William (Bill) and Mary Komoski, as well as her father and mother-in-law, George and Paula Lemay. Gail retired after spending 20 years, in the 1970s through to the 1990s, as a receptionist with Western Glove Works. Upon retirement, she obtained her Class 1 drivers license, she and Paul then travelled the United States and Canada as the Husband and Wife Truck Driving Team. Gail was a loving woman with a heart of gold, she loved to entertain and cook for the masses. There was always a spot at her dining room table for anyone who wanted to join the family for one of her fabulous feasts. At every meal she would always say, "Don't forget the leftovers". Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the sedulous and compassionate doctors, nurses and staff of the Dialysis Unit of the St. Boniface Hospital, as well as a special thanks to Gail's "Angels", Sameera, Mayra, Gladys, Fawn and Nelson Arruda of Accent Home Care for their empathy and care. Someone once said "the true measure of an individual manifests itself by her/his attitude toward her subordinates, human or otherwise. How true! At the frequents banquets [and they were nothing short of lavish banquets] that Gail put on for us, everybody's pets were welcome. We have often witnessed the total joy and happiness in Gail's eyes, as she watched the pets eat with great gusto their special banquets . This kind of generosity went far beyond holiday banquets. Gail opened her home to guest every day of the year.Everybody was always welcome to eat at her house, spend the night or the week if you needed to. Gail was a sympathetic, courageous and above all GENEROUS lady. It hurt in the end that none of us was able to give something back in return to help her, but as always, Gail found strength in her spirit. Miss Gail, we salute you. Your passing hurts, but we live with the conviction that the separation is temporary. We will enjoy banquets and fun and laughter with you again somewhere, someday. Until then "REST IN PEACE." - Posted by: Friesen and Loeza families (Friends) on: Oct 31, 2017

So sorry to hear of Gail’s passing. My condolences to all. i grew up across the street from Gail on St. catherines Street and spent a lot of time with her growing up. I used to visit with her when she lived upstairs from her parents when Paul was on the road. I remember their wedding well and I remember how very happy she was when Paula came along. For a number of years I worked near her and Paul would pick us up from work to drive home. those drives were often laugh filled experiences! Rest In Peace Gail. - Posted by: Carlyne Murphy (nee FranksJ (Old friend and neighbour) on: Oct 28, 2017

I am so sorry to hear of Gail's passing; we were friends from way back; her dad and my dad were friends and we became friends. Although we lost touch over the years, I often would think about her and how she was. I am saddened on your loss, Paul and family; she was a nice caring person. - Posted by: Jeannette Lavallee (friend) on: Oct 26, 2017

So sorry to hear of Gail's passing. I didn't know her long, but I was always inspired by her. Phil always talked about what a spirit she had - always wanting to cook for people and loving a full house. He spoke of many a meal at Gail & Paul's - always good food and better company. She will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Bonny Hebert (Friend of Phil's) on: Oct 25, 2017
