Betty was born in Selkirk and she resided there for her entire life except for a brief time spent in Calgary. She worked for Bob Szewczyk as a legal secretary for many years until she retired at the young age of 75 years. She also volunteered as the organist for St. Clements Church in Selkirk for as long as she was able. Sadly she had to stop playing her music when her eyesight started to fail her. A celebration of her life will take place on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clements Church in Selkirk. A private interment will take place prior to the service. Because of her love of music a scholarship will be created for a deserving music student in Grade 12 at the Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School, 221 Mercy Street, in Selkirk. In lieu of flowers, please send your donations to the High School Office care of Mr. Michael Brandon.
