Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryETHEL MAY FAMULENER June 2, 1932 - October 28, 2017 Peacefully, on October 28, 2017, Ethel May Famulener passed away in Prince George, BC, with her daughter at her side. Ethel was beloved mother to Helen, Nana to Kayla (Todd), Taylor (Greg) and Emelyn, and Granny Ethel to Nadine (Ed), Ginette (Don), Brittany, Princeton, Christopher, Ryan, Jordan and Nicolas. She was also aunt to Lori, Sharon and Jimmy, sister to Lil and treasured family member and friend to many more. Ethel is predeceased by her mother Merle; father John; brother Orville; sisters, Margaret and Elizabeth; nieces, Jackie, Pat and Linda; as well as nephew Joseph. Ethel was born June 2, 1932, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her family grew up on a farm in Union Point, Manitoba, where she had an adventurous childhood with her siblings and twin sister Elizabeth. Eventually, Ethel moved to Winnipeg and began working in a laundromat for a number of years, before moving to a position with Air Canada in the Accounting Department. Ethel worked at Air Canada until she retired in 1995, and remained active with the Air Canada Pionairs. Ethel had a zest for life like none other. Her family was her life and spending time with them was her greatest joy. She loved to shop, travel and have breakfast on Sundays at Salisbury House. She never thought there was anything wrong with having a little bit of dinner and lots of dessert. She is a presence that will be missed for all that knew her. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. The family would like to thank the medical staff in Prince George, especially Dr. Raymond and at the Hospice House. Ethel has requested a party be had in her memory and her wishes will be honoured. Her Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, November 18 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Mosaic Reception Centre, 1839 Inkster Blvd. Please be colourful in your attire. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of choice. Private family interment will take place prior to the celebration. Ethel was a pleasure to work with. She and I worked balance sheets together for AC and when I had no one to train me in the Cargo area Ethel who worked Passenger set out to show me the ropes. I will always remember her kindness, her friendship and I tried very hard to be like her when I trained individuals - always with kindness and a cool head. I will miss you at the Pionair meetings Ethel - it was so wonderful to reconnect with you after retirement. You will be missed my friend. Enjoy Heaven. - Posted by: Terry Leah (co-worker) on: Nov 15, 2017

To Ethel's Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Ethel many years at Air Canada. She was in fact my Lead Hand at one time. We worked Side by side. Ethel was tough but fair and once you got to really know her, she would treat you like a best friend. She was funny, and very kind to me. This world will now be at a true loss without Ethel in it! My thoughts & prayers are with Ethel and her family. - Posted by: Janet Harrow-Courcelles (Former Co-worker) on: Nov 04, 2017
