MONIQUE MARY EVELINE TRUDEAU It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on Sunday, November 5, 2017. She was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, to Raymond and Viola (nee Desrochers) Trudeau. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Denelle Lambert (Mike Moss), grandchildren, Noah and Delilah Moss, and son, David Lambert. She is also survived by her siblings: Guy (Marie) Trudeau (Jean-Guy and Natalie); Keith (Nancy) Trudeau (Genevieve and Derique); and Andre (Elaine Hiebert) Trudeau. She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Viola Trudeau, and sister-in-law, Heather McColl. Monique was born in St. Boniface, grew up in the Norwood Flats, attended Ecole Precieux-Sang, she had retired from a career at the Province of Manitoba, and spent most of her life living in St. Boniface. She was an adventurer: a scooter driver extraordinaire in Bali and Thailand, and loved to travel to exotic places. She was skilled at sewing, knitting, crocheting and other crafts, and had a definite touch for interior design. Her most important role was as a dedicated and loving mother to Denelle and David and her precious grandchildren Noah and Delilah. She will be remembered for her generous and caring nature, and will be greatly missed by her family and numerous friends. We will all love you forever. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at E.J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Monique may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 9Z9. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. Monique - we were together just last week. I cannot believe that you are gone. She was a gentle, caring person who loved to share. Generous to the max and loved her family so much. Cared for her son David a great deal and for her precious grandchildren in BC about whom she spoke often with great love. I feel privileged to have known you - even for such a short time. We became friends last year and I very much value the time we spent together. Louisa (Ryz), 500 Tache Avenue - Posted by: Louisa Ryz (Friend) on: Nov 10, 2017

Monique and I started our friendship in grade school. We had a lot of fun as kids and continued into our teen years. Good memories of running to her house for lunch breaks where her mother was always at the stove making great soup, then we would run back to school. In our older years when ever we would meet up for lunches we always reminisced and enjoyed our stories of grandkids, etc.... I will miss Monique and forever remember her dearly... my sincere condolences to her children, grandchildren and siblings.... rest in peace my friend.... - Posted by: Jeanette Roy (Long time friend) on: Nov 09, 2017

Monique you were one of my most cherished friends for over 20 years. We shared many of those life changing moments while travelling thru Thailand for a month and then our last trip together exploring our spiritual paths in Bali and Lombok. I was always grateful when you wanted to visit me in Victoria and was hoping to have many more years sharing laughter, family, and always new adventures. Those of us who love you will know that your beautiful spirit lives on and that you are only a whisper away. Love always, Sam - Posted by: Sandra " Sam" Melnyk (Friend) on: Nov 09, 2017

As friends of Keith and Nancy we had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with Monique on a few occasions. She was a warm and friendly soul with a vibrant personality. We are shocked and saddened to hear of her untimely passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. - Posted by: Brad Derksen and Nancy Rybak (Friends) on: Nov 09, 2017
