I was so sorry to hear of Shayla's passing. I spent time with Shayla in Grade 7 and 8 at Steinbach Junior High. I have many fond memories of our time together, she was always happy and willing to help. She brightened a room when she entered and made friends where ever she went. She will be missed. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. - Posted by: Deneen Treble (Friend) on: Nov 14, 2017

I knew Shayla from SRSS. I loved her big smile and great hugs. Near the end of her last year there she gave me a large fake flower that I still keep in my locker to remind me of her ;) Rest sweetly beautiful girl! - Posted by: Cathy (Friend) on: Nov 11, 2017

I met Shayla when she was a wee little one. As she was growing older, I seen her more often. She and Norine were attached at the hip. Shayla. . . .a few things that come to my mind are how you enjoyed good food, junk food 😉 and Bingo. You went through so much through your young life and I'm grateful you are free from pain now. We, down here, are going to miss that beautiful smile, happy disposition plus much more. You are loved by so many, especially your young man Dusty, your family and your friends. God has you in His Keeping, We have you in our Hearts. Love you Shayla. . . .❤❤❤ - Posted by: Sandy Jones (Cousin I met Shayla when she was just a wee little one/ Aunty) on: Nov 11, 2017

My sweet cuzen you brought a big smile to everyone's face with your bright loving smile, warm hugs and soothing laughter, I will never forget your favourite thing in the world which was gum. I have so many great childhood memories with you but I know you are safe up there with God and you are free from pain. I love you so much. - Posted by: Chantelle (Cuzen ) on: Nov 10, 2017

I loved hanging out with this girl. We would play cards for hours, or go out for picnics (no matter how awful the weather was) and frequently went shopping together. She was young and vibrant and had a lot of confidence to speak her mind. I can’t believe we are never going on another picnic again, and that she will never beat me at a game of crazy 8’s again... she will definitely be missed! - Posted by: Keelie (Friend) on: Nov 10, 2017

Shayla was a wonderful woman, I am glad to have been part of her life she loved me a lot and she still does and I love her a great deal. She was a godsend, she loved going to church with me, she even got me to grab her a bible and help her read the passages the pastor was using in his sermon, we enjoyed going out together and having coffee/tea and we laughed a lot. I will miss her especially the love taps she would give me everytime Ibeat a level in Mario before she did, or whenever I got an extra life or a bonus games. I love you Shayla always and forever will be my baby!!! RIP and save a place for me up there and I hope you have met your Mother-in-law and Biological mother-in-law and tell them I said hello I love you dearly Shayla and you will always have a place in my heart!!!! - Posted by: Dustin Buchan (Boyfriend/Fiancee) on: Nov 10, 2017
