We just heard of Mike’s passing. We have great memories of our Dad, Otto Grauman, and Mike farming together. Helping each other with the harvest and haying when they could. My parents respected Mike and Mary greatly, and cherished them as friends and neighbors. Our sympathies on your loss. Our deepest condolences to Cecil, Dennis and Families. So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He is the last Rawluk first cousin of Sam's and so it is sad to see the generation almost gone. We will always be grateful to him and Mary for introducing us 62 years ago. Throughout the years we have had many good conversations and get- togethers talking about his past and the early days he spent on my Uncle John's (his dad's) farm, next door. He had many stories about his life and ranching on Peonan Point, owning a store in Winnipeg and the many life experiences of being a purebred Hereford cattle breeder and an active member of his community. We are sorry we could not spend more time together with him once he moved to Fisher Branch, but life has a way of interrupting the best of plans. We will miss him always, an honest, hard working, cheerful man. He is part of our past, and a man that we will never forget. - Posted by: Sam and Joanne Rawluk (First cousins) on: Dec 02, 2017

I first got to know Mike back in the 1950’s through Hereford cattle (of course). Mike was always looking for a better bull. I once went on a bull buying trip with him to Sask. Going to Sask. in those days was a lot different than now with hardly any pavement. Ruth and I have had many a meal at Mike and Mary’s table. Mike was good for the whole Interlake Area and was truly a progressive farmer in his time. We have come to the end of an era. We regret we cannot come to the funeral due to distance and winter weather. Cecil and Dennis we offer you our deepest condolences. May God Bless You All.
