ANASTASIE (ZIE) MARCELLE MARIE HACAULT February 28, 1985 - November 27, 2017 With family at her side, Zie left this world to begin her heavenly journey. Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • I met Zie when she sold her house on Paddington Road to me in 2011 (ComFree). I loved what she did with the house: the colour schemes, the small chandelier over the toilet and a larger one over the ensuite sink. A lady's house! But I was also impressed with her vibrant personality! I was so sad to hear of her illness on CBC. As a nurse, I knew that the news would have a sad ending. She obviously left an impression on all who met her. My sincere condolences to all who loved her. - Posted by: Iona Schmidtke (acquaintance) on: Dec 31, 2017

  • My deepest sympathies to Marcel and Georgina and the entire family. I got to know Anastasie when I photographed her grad and subsequently also for family portraits. What a beautiful soul. She will leave a deep hole in your hearts. - Posted by: Marlene Fast () on: Dec 20, 2017

  • Very sorry to hear of your tragic loss of Anastasie. She was elected to the former Manitoba Rural Adaptation Board just prior to her diagnosis. As a fellow director I had the privilege of knowing her a very short time and was as disappointed as horrified to hear of her illness. I have known her father Marcel for a long time. Your loss of a daughter is incomprehensible to me. My thoughts are with both you and your wife today. - Posted by: Terry Fehr (Board director colleague) on: Dec 07, 2017

  • Marcel, My deepest sympathy for your loss. May the memories of your daughter slowly begin fill the profound emptiness in your heart. - Posted by: Colleen Drul (C) on: Dec 06, 2017

  • So sorry for your loss. We can not imagine what you and your family are experiencing. - Posted by: Ted and Marj Muir () on: Dec 05, 2017

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Zie when she was a very young girl. Elle n'était pas plus grande qu'un petit poussin. She was absolutely charming and knew how to melt hearts. It was her aunt Alice's wedding and we were many in a van driving on a dirt road heading out to the reception. Zie started to belt out a song like a rock star. She had us singing about chickens and pillows until the cows came home. She really knew how to breath life and light in the most mundane moments. Even then she was a old soul with a "joie de vivre" unparalleled by most. It deeply saddens me that her light no longer shines among us. - Posted by: Joanne Girouard () on: Dec 05, 2017

- Posted by: Diane Lemoine (ancienne prof) on: Dec 04, 2017

  • Dear Phil and the Hacault family, My deepest condolences to you all, may the memories and love you shared be close to you now during this difficult time. I am in disbelief Z is no longer with us. Z's smile, infectious laughter, humor, and kindness will live in my heart forever. We were brought together by fate to work together, but friends by choice. We had mojitos in Spain together and danced the night away, all while Z teaching me Spanish. We worked tirelessly on the convention for years, and laughed the whole way through. If you didn't know Z was battling this terrible disease you wouldn't have known. She was a warrior, and the strongest woman I know. Her strength is one that will be forever admired. Our days working together were always so bright. She brought her sense of humor to the office, and was always laughing even on the toughest of days. I miss her dearly. The fond memories we made, the inside jokes we had, and the love we shared will be close to my heart forever. I know you are singing and dancing in the heavens now Z, until we meet again in my heart is where I'll keep you friend.❤️ - Posted by: Denise Hawryluk (Good friend and work bestie) on: Dec 02, 2017
