Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRNA JOYCE CHOLOSKY (nee STILL) Peacefully with her family at her side, Myrna passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017. She will be greatly missed and forever cherished by her son Phillip (Ashley) and daughter Lorena (Reno); granddaughters, Carly and Megan; brothers, Gary and Everett (Pat); sisters-in-law, Yvonne, Lorraine, Diane, Olga, Lily, Mildred, Dorothy, and many nieces and nephews. Myrna was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Michael and son Carl; her parents, James and Bessie; brothers, Ernest, Gordon (Jean), Denis, Billy (Seslija) (Jean), John (Beatrice) and Kenny; brothers-in-law, Joe, Walter, August, John; and sister-in-law Eldred; nephews, Eddie and Gunnar; and niece Kelly. Myrna was born in Miniota, MB on January 27, 1932 and was raised in Mapleton, just outside of Selkirk. She always spoke fondly of growing up surrounded by her eight brothers and how they protected and cared for her. As a young woman, she started working in accounting with Sherwin Williams and then stayed at home for 12 years to start a family. She returned to school and became a medical secretary and worked at the Health Sciences Centre for over 20 years. Myrna was the epitome of someone who could truly live in the moment. She loved to spend time talking with people and learning about their lives. She had a wonderful sense of humour and fun. She greeted everyone she met with her blue eyes and a smile. Her passion for music and singing continued throughout her life. She was a devoted wife providing care and support to her husband Mike during his life long struggle with manic depression. Myrna lived with progressive dementia for 15 years and over the last few years with cancer. She continued to find joy in each day and showed love and encouragement to those around her. Her strong faith in God and her church were a source of strength and support to her. The family would like to thank the staff at Kildonan House, where she lived for six years, Irene Baron Eden Centre for their loving care of Myrna for nine years and the River East Personal Care Home for their kind care during her last six months. A special thank you to Dr. Paul Daeninck and Melanie at CancerCare Manitoba for their care and support. A celebration of Myrna's life will be held on Saturday, December 16 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Clement's Anglican Church on 1178 River Road, St. Andrews, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Clements Church. Condolences may be left at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.

Thinking of my Auntie Myrna today as her life is being celebrated at St. Clements Church. She was a beautiful lady, inside and out. I have many happy memories of visits with her and her family over the years and still have a distinct memory of being her (pouting) flower girl at her wedding all those years ago. My heartfelt sympathies to Lorena (my flower girl), Phillip and their families at this very sad time. - Posted by: Diana Baldwin (nee Still) (Niece living on Vancouver Island ) on: Dec 16, 2017
