Date of Passing: Dec 17, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA PROSICK (nee BOYCHUK) November 14, 1922 December 17, 2017 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Mrs. Olga Prosick at the age of 95. Mother was predeceased by her husband Edward (1972) and daughter Barbara (2015). Mom leaves to mourn her daughter Annette; son Tony (fiancée Michelle) and daughter Susan; sibling Marten Boychuk of Winnipeg; her former daughter-in-law Linda Carter (Tom); granddaughters, Talia and Krista. Mom was raised and lived in the north end of Winnipeg all her life. Her first job was at Paulin Chambers biscuit factory where she met my father. Much later in life, she was employed by James Richardson and Sons. Mom spent endless days babysitting her granddaughters, tending to her flowers, which were her pride and joy. Mom always tried to have a kind word to say and shared her wisdom with many. Her religious beliefs were very comforting to her at all times and gave her the strength to endure her many hardships. Her favourite saying was "May you walk with the angels." Mom you now "Walk with the angels" and continue to guide us all! You will be missed dearly by everyone who knew you. You are at peace now Mom and God is embracing you in his arms. Many thanks is extended to Holy Family Home 4A for their wonderful care and kindness. Cremation will take place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.

My deepest condolences to the family of one beautiful lady, Olga Prosick. She lived a long life and at times a difficult one, however I will always remember her as showing such kindness towards everyone. I can still hear her laugh, see her exquisite drawings with the finest details & picture the cute notes that accompanied those drawings. I will always cherish the lovely gravy dish & spoon set she gave me years ago which I continue to use regularly, often thinking of her. It is so difficult to lose a loved one. May you find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace & eternal rest. Sincerely, Chris (Bambi) - Posted by: Chris Carpenter () on: Jan 06, 2018

Please accept our condolences on the loss of your precious mother. “Aunty Olga”, as she was known to so many of us in the neighbourhood was always welcoming with a cup of tea and dainties. And how as teenagers we looked forward to her reading our tea leaves in hopes of finding that someone special. Your mother had a wonderful sense of humour and was always young at heart. Take comfort in the wonderful memories you shared with a beautiful person. - Posted by: Patti Wawyn (Friend and neighbour) on: Jan 06, 2018
