My mother and I extend our condolences to Shirley's family. We have known Shirley for close to 60 years. Our friendship was extended to many members of her clan. For my Mother, it was her deep and abiding friendship with Shirley's wonderful parents, Frank and Phyllis, For me, it has been my lifelong friendship with Diane (from childhood), later extended to include Diane and her husband Al. Shirley had the most naughty sense of humour and a terrific laugh. She was awesome! We were so pleased to see her when she attended my Mother's 90th birthday party. Over the years, as my Mom's health changed and as Shirley's mobility was affected by diabetes, our contacts were limited to email, often the exchange of humourous stories, photos and jokes. She was a grand person who retained so much of who she was under difficult circumstances. We remember her with loving memories. Our prayers are with her family at this time. Our sincere condolences to Shirley’s family and friends.
