Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKEITH (CHUBBY) GORDON CYR Keith (Chubby) Gordon Cyr, born on July 13, 1935 in Selkirk, Manitoba and passed away on January 16, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Eileen; three sons, Brent, Curtis (Patricia) and Craig; three grandsons, Aaron, Nolan (Maddie) and Trevor as well as three granddaughters, Jessica (Andrew), Megan and Brenna. He is also survived by his brother Charles (Beryl); sisters, Helen Want (Jim) and Nina Heggart (Ron), and sister-in-law Anne. Keith was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Mae Cyr and twin brother Kenneth. Keith was a lifelong resident of Selkirk and worked at the Manitoba Rolling Mill for 37 years, retiring in 1994. Keith was an avid gardener and every spring started his tomato plants from seed. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing at his favourite spot Eagles Nest on the Winnipeg River. Keith was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren and rarely missed the opportunity to watch their activities. We would like to thank the staff at Red River Place for the care and compassion provided to Keith during the past 11 months. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Keith's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Donations in memory of Keith may be made to the Selkirk Community Foundation, 200 Eaton Ave., Selkirk, MB R1A 0W6 or St. Clements Anglican Church, 7 St. Clement's Dr., St. Andrews, MB R1A 4A1.
