BEATRICE KAPPY (nee KRUPINSKI) 1919 - 2018 With deep sadness on February 18, 2018, at the age of 98 years, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed on. She is predeceased by her husband Bill (1969), daughter Marlene (2013), her parents and all of her siblings. She leaves behind her son Ronald (Alison), daughter Christine (Jim), daughter Janice (Louis), grandchildren, Cari, Brian (Erica), Darcy, Aubray and Asher (Michael), great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Emily, son-in-law John, and many nieces and nephews. Mom lived a long, full life and only experienced the beginnings of failing health in her 90s. Beatrice was born in Winnipeg and lived here her entire life except for residing a few years in Toronto. She worked at a variety of jobs throughout her lifetime. She met and married our dad in 1942. They raised four children together until Bill's sudden passing in 1969. She never remarried and continued to live on her own for another 49 years. She will be lovingly remembered for her generous ways and warm heart. Mom loved to grow fresh food in her garden and cook perogies, borscht and holubci for her family and friends. As young children, we loved to take family trips to the lake and enjoy the company of our aunts, uncles and cousins. Thank you Dr. A. Mehta for the years of caring for our mom and thank you staff at Rosewood Kenwood House. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 1, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Springs Church, 725 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Mom you will be dearly missed. We are grateful for the time we were allowed to have you in our lives. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • You had a lot of people who loved you Auntie Bea. You will be greatly missed. I will cherish my fun memories I have of us going for lunch and having dinners together. You always made me a special Xmas Eve dinner of sauerkraut perogies just before Xmas. Miss you and love you. Love Lynda xo - Posted by: Lynda Pawluk (Niece ) on: Feb 24, 2018

  • To Janice, Chris and Ron. I spent quite a bit of time in your home on Oakview growing up. I certainly know how your mom was in the kitchen. I was a picky eater as a child and learned to enjoy perogies and more as well as KRAFT pizza when Janice and I would hang out on Friday after school. So I have your Mom to thank for my voracious appetite today! Lol. Somehow, I knew your mom would live a long life as she was always busy working and planning outings to keep her youthfulness. I never knew her age. Through this obit I learned that Marlene had passed away, in which I am sorry, I missed sending my condolences at that time. I wish you the best of time we have left in life. Live it similar to your Mom and you'll do alright. I know she will be close to your hearts. My condolences.
