Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROLAND (ROLY) GEORGE ALEXANDER SENEZ November 27, 1926 - March 3, 2018 Passed peacefully at Riverview Health Centre following a brief illness, with loving children by his side. Roly was predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Simone (nee Leclaire) in 2007, and daughter Kathryn Gaudry in 2017. Roly is survived by his children: Elisabeth Westlake, Richard and Anne Marie Lachowicz (Richard); brother John (Leona); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Roly was a stoic widower, keeping his wife's baking legacy alive with cinnamon buns, cookies and pies, and hosting weekly Sunday brunches. Fiercely independent, Roly lived in the family home for 61 years. A carpenter by trade, there wasn't anything that Roly couldn't build or repair to the appreciation of friends and family. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of 3 East Palliative Care at Riverview Health Centre for their kindness and compassion. Special thanks to Rick Briggs and Gina Bauer for being such helpful and caring neighbours to Roly. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Blood Services or CancerCare Manitoba are appreciated. In keeping with Roland's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. My condolences to the family. I just found out about Rolly's passing. He was such a good loving neighbor. He was generous with his baking and shared with me many times. We had a few Crib matches together, I just wish there had been more.
