I would like to send my warmest and heartfelt condolences to the whole extended family even though you do not know me. Your mother, baba, etc. was very much part of "my" family for close to 20 years as she worked for us and the relationship that we had with her has never been forgotten. She was a warm, kind, loving person even when she had to be stern with myself or my sister when we were young. I remember my own baba speaking to her in a mixture of Yiddish and Russian and from her Ukrainian they always understood each other. One particular thing that has never left me and now before Passover it returns each year, as my own mother was ill and hospitalized one year before Passover, Ann gave us an extra day that last week and because of her knowledge of having been with us for so many years was able to clean our kitchen for Passover and flip over to our Passover dishes. She was incredible and when we got home from school my sister, dad and I were left with only the cooking as she had everything ready for us. That day your late father picked her up at our place in Garden City because she had worked extra hours but I don't think we ever thanked her enough for all her help and dedication. She will be missed by many and I hope that you all realize that. All the best, Judi Permut (ylp18@013net.net) - Posted by: Judi Permut (my family knew her for many years ) on: Mar 12, 2018
