ELIZABETH ANNE SCOTT With heavy hearts and sadness, the family of Elizabeth Anne Scott (Baba) announces her peaceful passing from one loving embrace to another, on March 5, 2018. Anne will remain in the hearts of a countless number of people she served proudly as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, selflessly helping people heal. While touching the lives of many, Anne will be remembered most lovingly as Mom to: Donna, Colleen (Gwen), and Derek (Christina). Baba's love and generosity will be missed and remembered by her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren: Caroline Jayne, Michaela, Ryan, Braedan, Maegan, and James. As a sister, Anne's love and laughter will remain in the memories and hearts of her five siblings and (in-laws): Kathy (Rick), Keith (Virginia), Tommy (Sandra), (Helen), (Lionel) and she was predeceased and now peacefully joins her brother Terry, sister Joyce and both of her parents, Agnes (Granny) and Kenneth (Papa) Scott. She joins the love of her life (William) Bill Sherman, her best friend, life and fishing partner who predeceased her. The family would like to extend their gratitude for the kind words and loving support from Baba's nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Seven Oaks, St. Boniface Hospitals and Poseidon Personal Care home for providing comfort and care to "our Nurse" and loved one who is finally off duty and gone fishing forever. Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in the name of E. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Anne and I have been friends for over 45 years, and neighbours for many years. I was very pleased to accompany her daughter Donna to the Poseidon Care Home. She was in good spirits and we reminisced over lunch and had a few good laughs…good memories. Anne also cared for my husband at Seven Oak Hospital, she was a very caring individual, who always had a humorous way of talking. She will be missed by all who knew her. My condolences to her family. • Condolence From: Maureen Boyce Condolence: RIP my dear friend Annie! You will be having a rum with Bill and hanging out with Patty and Shannon. You taught me many lessons as a young nurse...how to have courage and compassion at the same time. But more importantly, you taught me about those like you...who form a hard shell from some life experiences...but keep that tender ❤️ underneath! I was lucky enough to know that part of you. Your humour and outlandish capers remain deep in the memory of my ❤️....our meals in the old Oaks dining room...the picket line , our many trips to Grand Forks in your van, and visits with Jim and you and Bill at our homes or at your camp. You almost killed us with the “ liquid smoke “ in the burgers. My fondest memory however is your own descriptive of you in your helmet, riding your mo-ped down the road from camp to the LC, and the cows all raising their heads to look at you and say...” what the heck was that.” 🤣 Rest easy my friend...💕 sincere sympathy to Anne’s family. - Posted by: Maureen Boyce (Friend) on: Mar 17, 2018
