JUDITH LAW (nee LITTLE) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister and friend, Judy Law, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at the age of 74 years. She died peacefully, surrounded by friends and family at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Judy will be lovingly remembered by her son Darren (Marnie); sister Barbara Hill; nieces, Wendy and Kasey and her many friends, including Judy Persad, Joyce and Brian Dittman, Linda Norris and Mary Buchannan. Special thanks to her neighbours, Lisa and Blair Chetwind, Diane and Greg Reiser, and others for helping her out as she continued to live independently; even after her health deteriorated in the last few years. You have no idea how much that meant to her. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Agnes Little, her niece Carol and her son Kevin, who passed away in 2017. Judy was born in England and grew up there, until she graduated from nursing. She then came to Canada with 20 dollars in her pocket. She instantly fell in love with Canada, travelling across it and working as a nurse in various communities and later became a citizen. In 1981, she moved to Winnipeg and became an ICU nurse at the Misericordia Hospital for 19 years in a job she absolutely loved. In 2000, she worked as a nurse in Tuxedo Villa Nursing Home until she retired in 2010. Her passions in life were watching sports, walking through parks, knitting, crafting, gardening, travelling and animals, including her many dogs she has cared for over the years. As per her wishes, no formal service will be held. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors of the Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and treatment of her during the last few days of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Amant Foundation or the Winnipeg Humane Society; both are charities Mom believed in and supported. E.J. COUTU & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS ejcoutu.com

  • I remember Judy as a teenager as my mom was a friend of hers. I was thinking of her the other day, and I still think of her as one of the most warm, caring people I have known. Nursing was the perfect profession for her. What a loss, Judy was a lovely lovely lady. - Janett Hines - Posted by: Janett Hines (old acquaintance) on: Mar 27, 2018
