Also left to mourn are her sister Madeleine and brother Fermin; brother-in-law Joseph (Agathe), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Aime, in 2005 and her sister Anne, in 2014. Mom was born August 19, 1928 in St. Alphonse, MB. She and Dad married on October 24, 1944 and farmed in Greenway until 1963, when they moved to St. Boniface. She loved her house in the city and was very happy to be able to stay there right up until two weeks ago. She had the best sense of humour, no one enjoyed a good joke more, which was evident right to the end. The family wishes to thank the staff of Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can to made to CancerCare Manitoba. To honour Germaine's wishes, no service with be held. Goodbye Aunty Germaine - So many memories! From the time I was just a little girl, to times at the farm, the auction sale, your move to the city, Saturday nights at the Belgium Club, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, Falcon Lake.....the list goes on and on! I will miss our long phone calls and talks about everything one could imagine. Trips to Winnipeg always meant at least one visit with you, and "my girl, you just have to have something to eat", and we did. And of course that included more talk and so many laughs. I'll miss that smile and all your hugs. I know you are in a better place, with no more pain - and you're with so many who have been waiting for you. A new journey has begun. My heart goes out to Ken, Debbie, Randy, Michelle and both their families. Even though she is not here physically, I know she will be watching over all of you. Much love Muriel - Posted by: Muriel Therrien (Niece) on: Mar 24, 2018
