Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • I am so sad to hear of Jim’s passing. I worked with him and Don at Safety Supply in the 80’s and although it's been a few years, I remember Jim always had a smile on his face and a kind word. I also spent a fun week at the cabin in Bissett with Steve and my children which they remember like it was yesterday. Thank you. My thoughts and sincere condolences go out to the family today. - Posted by: Jeanne Cumming (Klassen) (Co-worker (past) ) on: Apr 05, 2018

  • To the Duval family; We are so truly sorry and saddened to hear of your loss. In 1983 we had the privilege of meeting Jim when we rented his cabin in Bissett for 3 years, our first home together. Jim was always kind, friendly and thoughtful of us and we always remember how he would lower the rent in the winter when the Hydro was higher. We always looked forward to seeing Jim when he would stop in to say hi and just to see how we were doing. We had many lengthy and enjoyable chats during those visits. We knew it was difficult for Jim to tell us that he would need the cabin back for his family to use but we completely understood and in fact that lead us to purchase our home where we currently reside and literally just down the lane from the cabin - so one of the best things to happen to us. We would see and talk to Jim throughout the years and exchange Christmas cards and although that all became few and far between our contact with Don now and throughout the years kept us connected. Our thoughts are with you all. With sincere and heartfelt sympathy. Gail and Mark Wynne - Posted by: Gail and Mark Wynne (Acquaintance) on: Apr 03, 2018
