ALVIN COOTE After 92 years of a life well lived, Al passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 in Saskatoon. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Cathy (Paul Goldstein) and Lisa (Timothy Allinson), grandsons, Braydon and Kyle Goldstein, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Al was born in Steinbach in 1925 and moved to Winnipeg at the age of six. In 1958 he married the love of his life, Rena and together they resided in Westwood until her passing in 2008. After 42 years at Mid-West Paper/Price-Daxion he retired and enjoyed travelling with Rena to their favourite destination, Hawaii. He was a quiet, humorous man who enjoyed time with his family and close friends. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Rena, his parents, Henry and Barbara Coote, seven brothers, three sisters, and grandson, Matthew Goldstein. The family would like to thank Dr. McKee, Dr. Tai, Andrea at Golden Home Wellness, and Myrna, Dalton and the staff of Keedwell Assisted Living Centre for their care and compassion during Al's illness. Private interment will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any branch of the Kidney Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice.
