Sadly I have just learned of my friend, Jack's passing today (16AUG18). When I was stationed in Thompson 1982-86 with the RCMP Jack and I became friends and shared many laughs together. As they say in the Maritimes, Jack and I had some fun together we did. Jack and Anne lived just up the street from me on Sauger Crescent and when I would see him jogging past I never passed up on the opportunity to step outside the front door and yell at him to "step it up you're running like an old man"! I am so sorry and pass along my belated but most sincere condolences to Anne and the entire family. Jack was a good good man. Today I shed a few tears for my old friend. Dearest Maeve, My sincere condolences to you and your family. Losing a parent is one of the most difficult life experiences one can go through. It leaves a hole in ones heart. Your father will be remembered by many people which is such a great legacy to leave to all of you: his spirit and memories will live on because of the positive impact he has made with the people he touched. I think you often and hope to be able to reconnect. Big Hugs to you! Rox - Posted by: Roxanne Desrosiers (Friend of Maeve's ) on: Jul 25, 2018

Dad represented compassion, humility, and warmth towards family, friends, and strangers with no expectation of reward. His sense of justice lives on in the hearts of those who were so lucky to have been a part of his life. He is missed but never forgotten. We miss you Dad, Maeve & Hideki Thurgood xx - Posted by: Maeve Kanoh(Drapack) (Dad) on: Jul 24, 2018

Oh Peggy, I am so sorry to learn of your brother Jack's passing. I know how proud you were of your two brothers and often spoke in a very endearing manner of them. May it be of solace to you and Jack's family, in knowing that Jack passed during the Octave of Easter and on the eve of the Divine Mercy Sunday today, April 8th. Take comfort in knowing your brother has met the face of God. Take care. - Posted by: Darlene Hoffman (friend and former co-worker) on: Apr 08, 2018
