Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLEN THOMAS FOTHERINGHAM March 21, 1949 - April 6, 2018 On April 6, 2018 we lost a truly gentle and caring man. Al passed away peacefully at the age of 69 in the Riverview Health Centre. He was surrounded by love and support from his family: his wife Lorraine, son Darren (Lisa and Xavier), and stepchildren Janice Kostelnyk (Richard, Jasmine and Rhade) and Ian Peterson (Candice, Chay, Mika and Caden), as well as his brothers David (Dianne) and Jim (Tina), and many nieces and nephews. Al was predeceased by his parents, Edna and Tom, his brother Brian, and Darren's mother Sheila. Papa Al spent 40 years working at Derksen Plumbing and Heating and appreciated the many friendships that were formed during this time. He enjoyed the regular breakfasts with friends Smitty and Dave, just catching up over coffee. Some of his favourite evenings were spent watching the Winnipeg Jets hockey games with his dog Morgan faithfully by his side. His family was his greatest enjoyment, watching each of the grandchildren grow into young adults and spending the precious first two years with the youngest, Xavier. Friends and relatives are encouraged to share in a photo-tribute, stories and condolences for the family by visiting Allen's memorial page at IntegrityDeathCare.com A celebration of his life will be held between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., Friday, April 13, 2018 at 603 Wellington Crescent at Academy Road, (Unitarian Church). In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Riverview Health Centre. INTEGRITY Cremation & Funeral Planning 204-295-5408 - IntegrityDeathCare.com

Al is one of my oldest memories. He's been our neighbour for... 30 years ish. He was a kind, gentle and incredibly patient man. Al was always good to my parents, my brothers and I and later, to our kids. He always smiled and waved and I know we'll all miss that. The world was a better place for having him in it. Goodbye Al, and thank you. - Posted by: Nicole Logan (Neighbour) on: May 27, 2018

I will always remember Al Fotheringham. Quite a while ago, I worked at Western Supplies, when he worked for Derksen. He would come and visit at Western now and then, his kind and gentle demeanor and sense of humour was always welcomed. Al was truly a very kind man. He took a chance on me when I first got into the plumbing trade and gave me a job, even though Derksen wasn’t really hiring. For that, I’m forever greatful because working with Al was a pleasure and has taught me many things. You will be missed. My deepest condolences go out to Darren and Lisa and entire family. - Posted by: Don Mabon (Friend) on: Apr 12, 2018

Al was not only a brother-in law, but a good friend. We will always remember the fond memories with Al from the days at West Hawk Lake , Christmases and days spent at the Cabin. He was always ready to give a hand when called upon. He had a tough go through with his cancer and other related medical issues, but never seemed to complain. In the past several years going out for breakfast was our staple and talking about the past and anything that was news of day. In saying that, Al, you will truly be missed and will always be remembered. May you rest in peace and serenity "Blade Runner" Dave and Goni - Posted by: Dave and Goni Barrett (brother-in-law and friend) on: Apr 09, 2018
