Hi Diane ... So sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and the family. Joe was my barber since the 70's. We always had things to talk about, family, both his and mine. He always asked about my kids, and over the last 10 years we got to discuss our medical issues and opinions. He was a great man,, I'm not sure how tall he was but he carried himself for years as if he was 6 feet tall and proud. He was a caring man and I will never forget him. P.S. A few months ago when I came in for a haircut either I was a bit early or he was a bit late but he asked me to come in and sit with him and Diane and have breakfast with them. WHAT A GUY !!!!! I will truly miss him... Take care Joe.. - Posted by: Ron Henrie (Long time customer and friend) on: Apr 26, 2018

As Joe's customer for many years, I was very shocked to read of his recent passing in the paper. He was the only barber I had ever met who knew how to cut my hair. I think it must have had something to do with his Italian love of good workmanship, his skill and his respect for his customers. We became friends over the years. There was always lots to talk about. I remember his pride over his tomatoes and his grapes. He was a kind and caring person and will be greatly missed. In particular, my thoughts and condolences go out to Diana at this very difficult time. - Posted by: Gary Essar (friend and customer) on: Apr 24, 2018

Diane, I am so sorry that Joe has gone. For well over 35 years I sat in his chair and we talked as old friends - which we became. I heard about his family as they grew up, his grandkids and, of course, you. He always asked about my family. I learned about his growing up in Sicily, coming to Canada and moving from construction to barbering. Joe managed to combine being respectful and principled with being fun. And he was a Master Barber. I'm really going to miss him. Love to you and the family. - Posted by: Joe Barnsley (Friend and customer) on: Apr 18, 2018
