ROGER GROUETTE It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Roger Grouette. He went peacefully, in the presence of his family, at Health Sciences Centre on April 16, 2018. Roger was predeceased by his parents Marie Elizabeth Marguerite and Joseph Eduardo Grouette, his brother Edward Grouette, and his sister Doris Brown (Grouette). He will forever be loved and remembered by his wife Pamela Grouette, his children Crystallee (Dan), Allison (Matthew) and Aaron (Kacey), his grandchildren Atticus, Michael, Eve and William, his sisters Betty McTavish (Fort Frances), Leona Morrish (Cranbrook), Beatrice Friend (Nashville), Angela (Duane) Morneau (Winnipeg) and Patsy (Douglas) McEvoy (Whitecourt), his brother Leo Grouette (Winnipeg), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Roger was born in Emo, Ontario. Growing up he played sports, worked at a carnival and had many exciting adventures. He was truly a jack of all trades, he loved cooking, gardening and woodworking, and was exceptional at all three. Roger met the love of his life, Pam, in 1977 in International Falls, Minnesota. Two years later they were married. Roger was a passionate man who cherished his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed planning every detail of family vacations and spending quality time with his family was an utmost priority. He took his family on many memorable adventures. He loved being in nature and enjoyed fishing, camping, and picking berries. He knew how to enjoy the simple moments in life like gazing at the stars. Roger also had a passion for music of all genres and often played his music for all to hear. He was a selfless, kind-hearted man who treated people with respect and often put the needs of others ahead of his own. He found a new passion for life after his liver transplant. In his memory we ask you consider becoming an organ or blood donor to provide the gift of life to others as we were so blessed by these amazing gifts. Roger made a conscious choice to be joyous and grateful for every day. Therefore we are choosing to remember and celebrate his life. Come to share your memories of Roger with us at Soul Sanctuary, 2050 Chevrier Blvd., Winnipeg, MB on Friday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I was saddened to hear of Mr. Grouette’s passing even though I didn’t really know him well. I worked with his daughter Crystallee and you can tell he loved his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren. My thoughts are with his family and knowing that he is not in pain anymore will give them comfort to heal. RIP. - Posted by: Debbie Spencer (Past co-worker of Roger’s daughter ) on: Apr 20, 2018

  • Seemed to get together at least once a year and chat about life outside of business. We always promised to grab a lunch together. I owe you another rain cheque? Great memories. Sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Ron Owen (Friend and Insurance Broker) on: Apr 19, 2018
