She was an avid church goer and attended church every Sunday at the St. Bernadette Parish. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When she retired, she began travelling with her husband Lou to many destinations, including Hawaii and Europe. She especially liked her Alaskan cruises which she went on several times with her husband Lou, her son Tim, her friends, her sister Norma and her granddaughters, Michelle and Maureen. She also enjoyed many visits to Ottawa to visit her family. They also spent the harsh Winnipeg winters in Arizona at their trailer for six months of the year. Dorothy made many friends through her travels and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
