HERBERT MUELLER It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our much loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Herbert Richard Mueller. Our father was born in Oberleupten, Germany on October 25, 1930. He spent the first 23 years of his life in East Germany. He immigrated to Canada in 1953, where he met and married our dearest Mama. During their years of marriage, they were blessed with three children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His life focus was to care for and support his family and ensure that they would have a better life than he had in East Germany. Herbert worked at Shell Oil Refinery in Winnipeg until his retirement in 1983. He enjoyed having contact with several of his co-workers up to the time of his passing. Dad was predeceased by his "darling"; his wife, Helga. He thought about her every day and now God has reunited them again. Our father was also predeceased by his sister and his parents in Germany. Herbert will be sadly missed by his one surviving brother and family. The special times which we spent together either in his home or at the lake property will forever remain in our hearts. We loved him so very much and he will always be our most cherished "Dad, Daddy, Pappy, Grandpa and Opi." At our father's request, a private service has been held. His final resting place is with our loving Mama. Although Dad loved flowers (especially geraniums), should you choose to do so, we respectfully request donations to Canadian Diabetes or a charity of your choice. "Deine Liebe wird immer in unseren Herzen sein und du bleibst uns unvergessen. Begrenzt ist das Leben; unendlich die Erinnerung." Ruhe in Frieden, lieber Papa.
