Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID COLIN WOOD It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of David Colin Wood on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the age of 72 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Janice; his children: Susan (Dave) Cole, Michael Wood and Sarah (Roly) DeBlaere; grandchildren: Amelia and Max Wood and Jack and Isaac DeBlaere; siblings: Susan Terry, Derek Wood, Dorothy Wood and Sally Evans, as well as many extended family members and dear friends. David has now joined his infant grandson, Joey DeBlaere in Heaven. He immigrated to Canada in 1967 and settled in Winnipeg. David loved his work at Sterling Machine Works and was very fond of the time he spent there. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, donating his time and talents to many fundraising events and charities. He spent a lot of his spare time hunting and fishing with friends and enjoying the great outdoors. But, most of all, his pride and joy was his grandchildren, he adored spending time with family and loved cooking for them whenever the chance arose. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 255 Stafford Street with viewing one hour prior.
