SARA FRIESEN Sara Friesen, aged 99 years, of Altona, formerly of Gnadenfeld, Manitoba, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Eastview Place. She is survived by her brother Ben (Eva), and sister Annie, as well as by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Anna Friesen, and by 10 siblings. Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Altona Bergthaler Mennonite Church (117 2nd Street NW, Altona, MB). Interment will take place prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. at the Gnadenfeld Cemetery (those who are unfamiliar with the location of the cemetery are welcome to gather at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for the procession to the cemetery). Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home Altona on Wednesday, April 25 and Thursday, April 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Sara may be made to the Alzheimer Society, or to the Rhineland and Area Food Bank.
