COLLEEN JANE COOK February 11, 1970 - April 24, 2018 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Colleen Cook at the age of 48. She was predeceased by grandmother, Lucy Cook, father, Jean Baptiste (Amil) Courchene, and siblings, Lori and Emile Courchene. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Joanne (Flinn) and Jewel, sons Theodore and Tristen (Sage), grandchildren, Thierry, Amelia, Christopher, Ashanti, Jayden and Thereon, siblings, Quincy, Casey, Ramona (Barry), Rebecca, Adam and Amber. She will be deeply missed by her large, extended family and numerous friends. Colleen grew up in Sagkeeng and attended St. John's High School, Red River College in Winnipeg and the University of Winnipeg. Colleen worked at the Sagkeeng Treatment Centre and Department of Public Works. She was kind-hearted and enjoyed working for her community and helping others in any way she could. Wake services will be held at the Fort Alexander Roman Catholic Parish from April 27 to 29 with funeral service Monday, April 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Theodore Fontaine, Tristen Cook, Deni Courchene and Clement Fontaine. Honorary pallbearers are Thierry Fontaine, Anders Cook and Brent Bear. Donations in memory of Colleen can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
