MICHELLE LAUREL DAMAN September 13, 1971 April 23, 2018 It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Michelle Laurel Daman on April 23, 2018. She is survived by her son Brandon, mother Donna, sister Lisa (Stephen), niece and nephew Reese and Jackson, father Allan (Karen), and her many foster daughters who Michelle always considered part of her family. Michelle was known for her larger than life personality and her loving and generous heart. She committed her life to helping, not only her foster children, but everyone around her. Michelle had a way of connecting with just about anyone she met, forming strong bonds that resulted in a huge network of friends and acquaintances. In her spare time Michelle loved to cultivate her creative side through painting, cooking, and perfecting her nail art skills. She also had an insatiable craving for knowledge, making her the go to person on just about any topic. Her passing will leave a void in the many lives she has touched and she will be remembered in the hearts of all that loved her. A Celebration of Life for Michelle will be held Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Mosaic Event Centre, 1006 Nairn Ave. In lieu of flowers we think Michelle would appreciate donations made to Addictions Foundation of Manitoba. https://afm.mb.ca For online condolences or to light a memorial candle please log on to www.mosaicfunerals.ca 1839 Inkster Blvd. 1006 Nairn Ave. 204-275-5555

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I remember growing up and babysitting my little cousin Brandon while my auntie Michelle worked at a restaurant down Pembina. Brandon and I thought having a water fight in the house was a great idea at the time (us being young and all Lol) needless to say Michelle wasn't too impressed, did we get an ear full. I'm glad to say I have many good memories, that one just always comes to mind. I'll never forget the look on her face when she came home that evening. I always admired her beauty and nails growing up. She'll always be loved and missed. - Posted by: Jocelyn Adams-Mulligan (Aunty in law) on: May 01, 2018

  • I first met Shelly when we were about 10 years old. I was lucky enough to spend time at Clear Water Bay with Susan and Shelly's grandparents lived next door. A few years later she stated attending St George School. I recall on her first day she arrived full of life and of course wearing high heels. Although it has been many years since I saw her in person, I enjoyed hearing all that was going on in her life through Facebook. I am shocked and sadden to hear of her passing. My sincere condolences to her son, family and friends. Fly with the angles Shelly. - Posted by: Nicole Asselin (Parisien) (Childhood friend) on: Apr 30, 2018

  • With our little purses full of contraband cigarettes we all used to head back to Shelley (as we called her then) place at lunch and watch Days of our Lives and smoke like fiends, cause we were cool. Those good old St. George Days... Living large at Clayton Drive. Sherry, Shelly, a few 'Nicoles', LIsa... we were so sophisticated. But... Shelly, aka Michelle now, maintained it. Always classy. After not talking for several years and now I live in Toronto, we reconnected on FB... I remember Ankle-Gate, when it happened and all that ensued following. Michelle's ability to roll with it. To make it a story, a tale... FrankenAnkle. Who else could turn something so painful and so frustrating into a tale that we all followed. Only Michelle. Following her life on FB...she spun her story so that life WAS good... life WAS funny and she was so proud of so many different people, but most especially her son and all the young women she helped raise. Boy she was proud of those girls... Her last adventure into Jamaica was one of the reasons my family went this year because her posts were AWESOME... I wanted that rum, that sand and that jerk chicken... Fly with the Angels Michelle... you Impacted the World. Changed it. Left a mark that will be here forever. You made a difference and you will be missed. xoxo - Posted by: Nicole Levesque (Kreutzberg now) (Friend since Grade 7, Maybe Grade 6) on: Apr 28, 2018
